My Story
Hello, I am so glad you’re here! I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself and how I got here. My name is Sharlie, a 42-year-old female currently living in Spokane, WA for the past 24 years. I grew up in small town Anaconda, MT as a single child with a single mom. I had a relatively normal childhood spent running the streets with my friends, being active in sports and excelling in my education. After graduation, I wanted to experience something new and meet new people, so I enrolled at Eastern Washington University and took the leap!
Throughout college, I became friends with people from around the world and truly lived out the student experience. So much so that I never left higher education but rather made it into a career. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, I quickly realized my dreams of Pharmacy school were a bit out of reach. I was offered a full-time position at EWU and that’s when my career took an entirely new path. I began my master’s degree while working full time and graduated four years later with a Master of Business Administration. From that day forward, I strived to always advance my career by seeking opportunities for growth any chance I got.
Everything in my career was going great until it wasn’t. I started having health problems and those problems just steadily increased over time. From simple colds and flus to Covid, to gallbladder removal, a ruptured endometrioma, on-going endometriosis and lastly a liver transplant! I lost my job, had a major setback in my career and almost lost my life. It is with the grace of God that I survived and as I work to rebuild my life and my career, it is my mission to tell my story and all the highs and lows that came with it.
